Cyanotype printing kit
Print with the sun
Contact usWhat is cyanotype?
Cyanotype is one of the oldest ways to make a photograph. Coat paper with a light-sensitive solution, lay leaves, flowers or a printed negative on top, and let the sun do the work. A rinse in water reveals a print in deep Prussian blue. No darkroom needed: just sunshine and water.
How it works
- 1MixAdd water to bottles A and B, then mix equal parts just before use.
- 2CoatBrush a thin coat onto the paper and let it dry in the dark.
- 3ExposeArrange your objects on the paper and place it in the sun for 5 to 20 minutes.
- 4RevealRinse in cool water and watch the blue appear.
